Spam I Am...

Using email can be wonderful UNTIL you have been several days or weeks away from your mailbox. You then have to dig up the courage and focus needed to sort through all of the wonderful email that you have received while you were away. It would be nice if all the good email floated to the top and then you could delete the rest but of course, that's just wishful thinking. The task of filtering through which email to keep, forward, or delete is at hand.

Are you getting spammed? Are you a spammer?
Let's define this word. Spam is any email that you have received that you did not ask for or do not want. So, it can be simply classified as unwanted or unsolicited email. How much spam do you get in your mailbox on a daily/weekly basis? So, how much is enough spam? Is there a way to stop the madness and take control of your mailbox? Of course there is! Guard your email address with your life.
  • I recommend that you obtain a free email account to use for any registrations (especially online) that you don't want to receive junk email from.
  • Avoid forwarding your email address to others.
  • Clean out all references with your email address and other email addresses before forwarding articles or emails.
  • Finally, protect your email address (and others) by using the bcc (blind copy) option in your email program.
